Members of Skal International Queenstown braved a chilly winter's morning for their first meeting since level 1 was announced.
The topic of discussion was the 'new' domestic visitor with great insights shared by members from different sectors of the industry.
Customer behaviour varied from member to member however the market tends to visit on the weekends, they often book late and generally use the suppliers own website to make bookings. One member noted that their customers were very aware of impact of Covid-19 on the tourism industry and were wanting to support tourism businesses. The forthcoming school holidays are being looked forward to with some optimism.
The meeting was hosted by Southern Discoveries, on board the Spirit of Queenstown.
